



Aniseed Myrtle
Aniseed Myrtle (Syzygium anisatum) is an Australian Native tree endemic to the coastal rainforests of Northern NSW. This is a delightful aromatic herb with a mild aniseed, licorice taste and a warming energetic profile to support your body during times of cold, winter immune challenges and sluggish digestion.
Traditional uses:
Digestive tonic - warming, to ease bloating and soothe irritation and support sluggish digestion
Respiratory / Lung tonic - Antimicrobial for coughs and Lung infections including mucous that require warmth.
Immune - Antioxidant and Antimicrobial for infections especially in the gut and respiratory linings.
As a tea … Steep for 5-7 minutes. Aroma is beautiful, warm and soothing.
As a body/ bath oil … immerse yourself in the warm aniseed aroma.
As a seasoning salt … add dried aniseed myrtle make a herb salt - see our Learning section for recipes.

Fennel - aromatic, digestive soothing and strengthening.
Licorice - same aniseed-like flavor, however licorice is anti-inflammatory and supportive to fatigue.
