Gotu Kola
BRAIN TONIC - BLOOD FLOW - BODY COLLAGEN REPAIR
Gotu kola is a herb of regeneration, clarity and longevity—cooling, moistening and deeply restorative to both brain and body tissues. Where there is depletion, stagnation or breakdown, it gently rebuilds, strengthens and restores flow.
This is a medicine of connection—linking circulation with collagen repair, nervous system renewal with skin healing. It nourishes the deeper layers of the body, supporting resilience, clarity and structural integrity over time. Both grounding and uplifting, gotu kola brings calm strength to the mind while restoring vitality to the tissues.
Indications:
Brain tonic & cognitive support – Enhances circulation to the brain, supporting memory, clarity and learning. Assists in brain fog, nervous exhaustion and age-related decline.
Circulation & vascular integrity – Strengthens blood vessels and microcirculation, supporting varicose veins, haemorrhoids and venous insufficiency.
Stress & nervous system support – A gentle adaptogen and nervine, calming while restoring resilience and mental stamina.
Skin & collagen repair – Promotes wound healing, reduces scarring and supports inflammatory skin conditions through collagen regeneration.
Connective tissue healing – Supports repair of ligaments, tendons and deeper tissue structures.
As a tea…
1–2 teaspoons dried herb per cup of boiling water.
Steep 5–10 minutes. Drink 2–3 cups daily.
As a tincture…
Take 3–6ml daily (approx. 20–40ml per week of a 1:2 tincture , 45% alcohol).
Most like:
Brahmi (Bacopa) – Both brain tonics. Brahmi is more calming and sedative to the mind; gotu kola is more circulatory and regenerative to tissues.
